Sileo, Mosca Earn ECC Weekly Honors

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 4, 2011) – Following a 1-0 week, two C.W. Post women's lacrosse players earned ECC Weekly Honors for their performances during last week's game. Junior goalkeeper Dominique Mosca (Merrick, N.Y.) earned her second consecutive Goalkeeper of the Week honor, while sophomore Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) earned was named Player of the Week for the first time this season.  

Mosca made ten saves against the Penmen and allowed just three goals to earn her second victory of the season. All ten saves came in the first half. She also picked up three ground balls on the day.

Sileo tallied 11 assists to set a new C.W. Post single-game record, and fell one short of the NCAA single-game record of 12 assists. She also scored one goal in the Pioneers' 23-3 victory over Southern New Hampshire.

C.W. Post, now 2-0 on the season, will be back in action next week on Sunday, March 18, as the squad travels to Bentley for a non-conference game at 12 p.m.
