Joyner Earns Daktronics Inc. Honorable Mention All-America Distinction
ABILENE, Texas (March 21, 2012) – Senior guard
Felicia Joyner (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) of the C.W. Post women's basketball team was recognized to the Daktronics Inc. Women's Basketball Honorable Mention All-America team, as voted upon by the athletic communications directors across Division II.
In 31 games played this season, Joyner led her team in scoring with an average of 16.9 points a game. She scored in double figures in 29 games and scored 20 or more points on nine occasions. Joyner, who was also named Daktronics Inc. First Team All-Region and ECC Player of the Year, closed out her career with 1,563 points in 117 games at C.W. Post.
C.W. Post finished the 2011-12 campaign with a 21-10 overall record, including an 11-5 conference mark. The Pioneers qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year and posted their highest win total since the 1987-88 season.
