No. 5 Women's Lacrosse In Saturday's National Title Game Against No. 7 West Chester

LOUISBILLE, Ky. (May 18, 2012)  - The C.W. Post women's lacrosse team continues its run through the NCAA Championships, knocking off both No. 1 Adelphi and No. 2 LeMoyne to advance to the NCAA Title Game against No. 7 West Chester tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Owlsey B. Frazier Stadium on the campus of Bellarmine University.

Tomorrow's meeting marks the fourth straight time the Pioneers have met the Golden Rams in the national title game. West Chester won the last meeting in 2008 by a final score of 13-12. C.W. Post won the first Division II championship by defeating West Chester, 13-9, on May 13, 2001. The Pioneers repeated the performance with a 15-7 win on May 13, 2007, marking the second time the two teams have faced each other.

This contest will be the 14th meeting between West Chester and C.W. Post. The Pioneers have a one-game edge with an all-time record of 7-6 against the Golden Rams. The Pioneers have received a record 10 NCAA berths since the 2001 season, tied with West Chester.

C.W. Post and West Chester have been ranked in the top ten in the IWLCA Division II poll all season. West Chester enters todays game at number 7, while C.W. Post is currently number 5.
