Women's Swimming Listed 11th in Latest CSCAA Division II Poll

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Dec. 19, 2013) - With the release of the second of three College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division II Team Rankings, the LIU Post women's swimming team finds itself at No. 11 after holding the ninth spot in the initial ledger.

Sophomore Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) has once again set her mark, holding the top time (53.99) in all of Division II in the 100-yard butterfly with her performance at the TCNJ Winter Invite. She also sports the second-fastest time in the 200-yard butterfly after finishing in 2:01.30 at the TCNJ Winter Invite.

The seventh-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke this season belongs to senior Tamara Garriock (Duncan, British Columbia, Canada) with a clocking of 2:17.39.

Junior Johanna Pettersson (Kungalv, Sweden) posted the seventh-best time in the 200-yard individual medley with her time of 2:04.20, while teammates Kwok and Garriock are currently 11th and 12th on the list, respectively.

Also finding her way in the Top-10 is junior Carolin Rademacher (Isernhagen, Germany). Her time of 4:24.88 is the seventh-best in the 400-yard individual medley.

The relay teams have been successful as well, as the Pioneers own the second-best time in the 200-yard medley relay, the fifth-best time in the 400-yard medley relay, and the ninth-best time in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

LIU Post looks to continue its successful season after the holiday break, as they will travel to take on East Stroudsburg on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
