Centro, Ringor Selected as ECAC Division II All-Stars

CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Dec. 20, 2013) 
- Two members of the LIU Post volleyball team have been picked as ECAC Division II All-Stars, it was released Thursday afternoon. Junior setter Lulu Centro (Rome, Italy) and sophomore libero Rachel Ringor (Honolulu, Hawaii) claimed recognition.

Centro, an All-East Coast Conference second-team selection, dished out the league's second-most assists at 1,252. Her average of 9.86 helpers per match ranked third-best in the ECC, and 61st amongst the nation. She also accumulated 237 digs, 35 service aces and 23 blocks (two solo, 21 assist) in the process for the Pioneers.

Ringor, who was named the East Coast Conference Libero of the Year, racked up the most service aces (61) and digs (605) in the league in 2013. Those totals placed 28th and 68th in NCAA Division II, respectively. For her efforts, the Honolulu, Hawaii native received Daktronics All-East Region second-team kudos as well.

Centro, Ringor and LIU Post closed out the year at 25-10 overall, and 11-5 versus ECC foes. In addition, they captured the NCAA Division II East Region Championship, following a 3-0 sweep of New Haven on Dec. 7.
