Cheerleading and Dance Teams Set To Participate in Fourth Annual Spirit Showcase
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (February 21, 2013) - On Sunday, February 24, the East Coast Conference will hold its Fourth Annual Spirit Showcase in the Brookhaven Gymnasium on the campus of Suffolk County Community College in Selden, N.Y. The showcase will begin at 11:00 a.m. All proceeds from the event will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Talented cheer and dance teams from ECC member schools and other Long Island institutions will be on hand to perform for the crowd. Among those scheduled to be in attendance are LIU Post, Molloy, NYIT, St. Thomas Aquinas and non-ECC members Adelphi and Suffolk County Community College.
Former wish recipient, Craig Nelson, will also be on hand to speak about what a difference the Make-A-Wish Foundation can make.
The ECC, which has raised over $9,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation in the event's history, will have multiple ways to donate money at the showcase. Tickets will be on sale for $5 at the door. Prize pack and 50/50 raffles will also take place during the event and concessions will be available.
