Sileo Grabs Second Consecutive ECC Player Of The Week Honors
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 12, 2013) – LIU Post women's lacrosse junior attacker
Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) earned her second consecutive Player of the Week recognition for her on-field performances this past week.
Sileo totaled 20 points in two games last week on three goals and 17 assists. She also picked up three ground balls, one draw control, and caused one turnover. Sileo tallied nine assists against Philadelphia University, and then totaled a hat trick and eight more helpers against Southern New Hampshire University. She currently leads the NCAA in points per game and assists per game.
LIU Post (3-0) dominated its two opponents on the week with a 19-3 drubbing of Philadelphia and a 23-8 final over SNHU.
Next on the slate for the top-ranked Pioneers is a home contest against eighth-ranked University of New Haven on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
