Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 19, 2013) – LIU Post's offense never got going as the Pioneers totaled just four hits in Friday's series opener with the ECC-leading Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas. STAC took the first game of a four-game set, 8-0.

Junior Casey McKay (North Massapequa, N.Y.), senior Anthony Corona (Carmel, N.Y.), and freshmen John Bellock (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and David Groeneveld (Centereach, N.Y.) each collected a hit against Spartans' starter, Robert Frank, who tossed a complete game shutout.

Freshman Chris Anderson (West Islip, N.Y.) kept the Spartans hitless for the first 3 2/3 innings before STAC broke through with their first hit and first run of the game in the fourth.

The Pioneers and Spartans meet again for a twin bill on April 20 in Sparkill, N.Y.
