No. 1 Women's Lacrosse Set To Face No. 5 Adelphi In NCAA Semifinals
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (May 18, 2013) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team returns to the NCAA Championships looking to earn back-to-back titles, taking on the three seed from the North Region, Adelphi, for the 19th overall matchup between the two Long Island lacrosse powerhouses on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Mustang Stadium on the campus of Stevenson University.
The Pioneers are the defending NCAA Champions, having defeated West Chester 17-16 in last year's title game. This is the fifth NCAA appearance in the least six seasons for the Pioneers, who have a 10-8 all time record against the Panthers. Today's meeting marks the sixth time the two have met in NCAA competition, with LIU Post winning the most recent matchup, a 14-11 victory in last year's NCAA first round. Fans can follow head coach
