Gatling Tabbed as ECC Player of the Week

Shayna Gatling (Baldwin, N.Y.) was named the player of the week by the league.
Gatling tied a career-high with 23 points in Saturday's 86-64 win over Assumption. The Baldwin native shot 9-of-12 from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 from the stripe. She also gathered up six rebounds, came away with two steals and dished out an assist.
Gatling and the Pioneers return to action on Wednesday (Jan. 8), when they host Bridgeport in an ECC contest at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, N.Y. The opening tip is scheduled for 5 p.m.
