Crouse Tabbed Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (Nov. 10, 2014) - On Monday, LIU Post graduate defender Dani Crouse (Westville, South Africa) earned her fourth Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week nod of 2014, as revealed by the conference office.

In the Pioneers' unblemished 3-0 week, Crouse tallied four points (1 G, 2 A). She had a goal and an assist in a 9-1 rout of Southern New Hampshire (Nov. 4), and added another assist in a 5-1 drubbing of Saint Anselm (Nov. 9).

Those two performances were sandwiched by limiting Bellarmine to only three total shots in a 5-0 blanking on Nov. 7.

Crouse currently boasts a 23-point output (8 G, 7 A) on the year. Her average of 0.54 goals per game is tied with teammate Kaycee Zelkovsy (Lamberville, N.J.) for 25th-best in Division II.

Furthermore, she anchors a back line that ranks third in the country in scoring margin (2.81). This past week, Crouse and the LIU Post defense held opponents to only seven total shots.

The Pioneers conclude the 2014 regular season on Wednesday (Nov. 12), when they face NE-10 foe American International at 4 p.m. in Springfield, Mass.
