NEW ORLEANS, La. (Nov. 14, 2014) - The LIU Post women's cross country team has recently been slotted sixth in the USTFCCCA Division II East Region Poll. The ranking comes after a third-place performance at the East Coast Conference Championships on Nov. 8.

Freshman Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.), who won the 5k with a 18:23.7 clocking, earned ECC Runner and Rookie of the Year accolades, in addition to garnering All-ECC first-team honors. Head Coach Rob Morris and the Pioneers are back in action next Saturday (Nov. 22), when they compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships in Nashua, N.H.
