FLUSHING, N.Y. (Nov. 24, 2014) -  On Sunday, Nov. 16, six members of the LIU Post women's lacrosse squad donated and raised awareness for cystic fibrosis by participating in the First Cystic Fibrosis Walk held at Citi Field.
The walk had a personal touch for the Pioneer squad, as sophomore defender Kelly Backus (Oceanside, N.Y.) was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis three years ago.
"The Cystic Fibrosis walk was a really great experience. We were happy to be able to support our teammate Kelly and raise awareness for the cause," said sophomore
 Brianna Gibbons (Massapequa Park, N.Y.).
