Women's Lacrosse Sits Atop IWLCA, Lacrosse Magazine Polls
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 24, 2014) - On Monday morning, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team continued its dominance of the national polls, retaining the No. 1 ranking in the respective IWLCA and Lacrosse Magazine Division II tallies.
The Pioneers amassed an overwhelming 222 votes, 195 of which were for first place in the IWLCA ledger. Adelphi came in right behind LIU Post in both polls. The Panthers totaled 211 votes (30 first-place nods).
Limestone (189 votes), off to a 2-0 start, narrowly edged Le Moyne (183 points) for third in the IWLCA census, but were flip-flopped in the Lacrosse Magazine poll. Lock Haven, West Chester and Stonehill claimed the fifth-through-seventh slots.
Rollins, Dowling and Florida Southern rounded out IWLCA's Top-10, while Dowling, Queens (N.C.) and Rollins wrapped up Lacrosse Magazine's Top-10 for this week.

Meghan McNamara and her top-ranked LIU Post squad open up the 2014 season Saturday (Mar. 1) against non-conference foe Bloomsburg in Brookville, N.Y. Action is set to get underway from Hickox Field at 2 p.m.
