GRAND LAKE, Colo. (Mar. 10, 2014) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team, which capped off a season-opening three-game homestand Saturday at 3-0, has retained its No. 1 ranking in Monday's IWLCA Division II Top-15 Poll.

The Pioneers matched the same number of votes from last week, earning 223 (195 first-place) of them. Adelphi and Limestone respectively stayed still in second and third. Lock Haven and Le Moyne flip-flopped at the No. 4 and 5 slots.

Still waiting to get their seasons started, West Chester (135 points) sat sixth, and Stonehill (122 points) placed seventh. Rollins, Dowling and Florida Southern rounded out the IWLCA's Top-10.

Queens (N.C.) dipped the furthest in the tally, sliding from eighth to 12th. New Haven, despite opening the year with a 15-3 win over Molloy, tumbled from No. 12 to No. 13.

In Lacrosse Magazine's latest poll, LIU Post held court for the fourth time in as many weeks. Adelphi was right behind in second. Limestone (No. 3) and Lock Haven (No. 4) moved up one spot apiece, while Le Moyne dropped from third to fifth. West Chester (No. 7) and Stonehill (No. 8) each took one step forward as well.

Lindenwood made the largest jump, elevating from 11th to ninth, whereas Queens fell seven notches to 14th. Pfeiffer, coming off a 10-9 victory against Regis (Colo.), capped off the census at No. 15.

Head Coach Meghan McNamara and her LIU Post squad return to action on Wednesday (Mar. 12), when they square off with Bentley under the lights in Orlando, Fla. The opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
