WALTHAM, Mass. (Mar. 17, 2014) - The LIU Post women's basketball team's program-setting season came to an end Monday night, as the third-seeded Pioneers fell to top-ranked and No. 1 seed Bentley, 83-62, at the Dana Athletic Center in Waltham, Mass.
The Pioneers, who advanced to the program's first-ever "Sweet 16," finished the 2013-14 campaign at 24-7 overall. Their win total is the second-most in a season in school history.
Trailing 31-26 late in the opening period, the Pioneers looked to finish the half strong. Sophomore guard
