Softball Remains 18th in Latest NFCA Division II Poll
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Apr. 16, 2014) - The LIU Post softball team, behind another solid week of play, kept a hold on the No. 18 ranking in the latest NFCA Division II Poll, released Wednesday.
West Texas A&M (40-4) was the unanimous choice for No. 1 in the tally for the second-consecutive week. The Lady Buffs received all 16 possible first-place votes from the NFCA's Top-25 committee.
The Pioneers are now 27-5 overall, including an 11-1 ECC mark. In their latest bout, the green and gold split a pair at now 10th-ranked Caldwell on Sunday (Apr. 13). The Cougars took the opener, 5-3, before LIU Post rebounded for an 8-4 win in the nightcap. Junior catcher

Maria Palmeri (Middle Village, N.Y.) each belted a three-run homer in the victory.
LIU Post is back in action on Wednesday (Apr. 16) for a road doubleheader at league rival Dowling. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
