LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Apr. 16, 2014) - The LIU Post softball team, behind another solid week of play, kept a hold on the No. 18 ranking in the latest NFCA Division II Poll, released Wednesday.

West Texas A&M (40-4) was the unanimous choice for No. 1 in the tally for the second-consecutive week. The Lady Buffs received all 16 possible first-place votes from the NFCA's Top-25 committee.

The Pioneers are now 27-5 overall, including an 11-1 ECC mark. In their latest bout, the green and gold split a pair at now 10th-ranked Caldwell on Sunday (Apr. 13). Junior catcher Aly Dzierzynski (Deer Park, N.Y.) and sophomore third baseman Maria Palmeri (Middle Village, N.Y.) each belted a three-run homer in the victory.
