BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 7, 2014) - With two more wins last week to improve to 12-0, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team maintained its place atop the IWLCA and Lacrosse Magazine Division II Top-15 rankings, released Monday.

The Pioneers picked up a key 14-9 win on Wednesday at Dowling, handing the Golden Lions, who dropped out of both polls, their first East Coast Conference loss of the 2014 campaign. Now sporting a 5-0 mark in league play, the green and gold hold a half-game lead on both St. Thomas Aquinas and Dowling in the ECC standings.

Like LIU Post, Adelphi (11-0), Limestone (11-0) and New Haven (10-0) continue to sport undefeated marks. The Panthers remained second in the polls, and the Saints stood pat in third. The Chargers jumped two spots to No. 4.

Lindenwood, following a 3-0 week in the Sunshine State, surged ahead to round out the Top-5 in the IWLCA tally. The Lions stormed from 10th to sixth in Lacrosse Magazine's Top-15.

Le Moyne, which suffered losses to Northeast-10 Conference foes New Haven and Stonehill, took a tumble to ninth and 10th in the respective ledgers. Meanwhile, Stonehill (No. 14/15) reappeared in the rankings after earning votes last week.

Head Coach Meghan McNamara and her LIU Post squad are back in action Wednesday (Apr. 9), when they host Bridgeport in an ECC showdown at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y. The opening draw is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
