Sileo, Hannan Tabbed ECC Player, Goalie of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 7, 2014) - On Monday afternoon, LIU Post senior attacker Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) and senior cageminder Katie Hannan (Gansevoort, N.Y.) were chosen as the East Coast Conference Player and Goalie of the Week, respectively.

Sileo totaled six goals and 11 assists for a 17-point output last week. She collected eight points (4 G, 4 A) Wednesday in a 14-9 win at Dowling, and followed that up Saturday with a nine-point effort (2 G, 7 A) in an 18-4 rout of Molloy.

The Wantagh, N.Y. product also became the NCAA's all-time leading scorer Wednesday, spanning all three divisions, as Sileo surpassed former record-holder Ashley Hansbury's mark of 500 points at Division III program Curry College.

In 2014, Sileo leads all of NCAA Division II and the East Coast Conference in points (94) and assists (59). She is tops in the country in assists per game as well, sporting an average of 4.92.

Between the pipes, Hannan totaled 10 saves over a pair of starts against league rivals, while recording a 6.00 goals-against average and a .526 save percentage. She stopped seven shots at Dowling, and turned aside three more versus Molloy.

Hannan currently owns a flawless 12-0 record on the year. Plus, the Gansevoort, N.Y. native owns the nation's best save percentage (.643), along with the second-lowest goals-against average (6.43).

Sileo, Hannan and the Pioneers are back at it Wednesday (Apr. 9), when they welcome ECC foe Bridgeport to Brookville, N.Y. Action is slated to get underway from Hickox Field at 4:30 p.m.
