Volleyball Releases 2014 Summer Clinic Dates
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (May 27, 2014) - LIU Post Head Volleyball Coach
Shellane Ogoshi (Levittown, N.Y.) has announced the dates and times for its 2014 summer clinics. The sessions are set to take place in the months of July and August.
The skills camp will run from July 18-20 and August 8-10. Basic and advanced skills are going to be covered, along with team competition. Individual attention will be essential to forming those attending into a more complete volleyball player.
A high school pre-tryout and team camp will also be held. From August 15-17, Ogoshi and her staff will assist the athletes in preparing for their varsity and club team tryouts.
For more one-on-one guidance, skill-specific clinics will be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 7 through August 15. The sessions are slated for a two-and-a-half hour time slot (5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.).
This past season, Ogoshi's Pioneers made history, as they captured the program's first-ever NCAA Division II East Region Championship. Sophomore libero
Rachel Ringor (Honolulu, Hawaii) was named the East Coast Conference Libero of the Year, while freshman outside hitter
Shelby McCool (Eugene, Ore.) took home rookie of the year accolades.
