NEW YORK, N.Y. (May 8, 2014) - On Thursday, LIU Post senior attacker Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.), the top scorer in all of Division II women's lacrosse, was featured in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of Sports Illustrated's most recent issue.

In 2014, Sileo has helped the Pioneers to an overall record of 17-1 and an unblemished East Coast Conference mark of 7-0. Entering the NCAA Tournament, she and her LIU Post teammates are in search of their third-consecutive national championship trophy.

The Wantagh, N.Y. native is the third player since the inception of the women's lacrosse program to be showcased as a member of SI's "Faces in the Crowd". Former standouts and All-Americans Shannon Fabian and Mallory Poole were respectively cited in 2006 and 2008.

Sileo, the East Coast Conference Player of the Year, presently paces the nation's statistical leaders in points (138), assists (86) and assists per game (4.78). Meanwhile, her 52 goals rank in at 31st across all of Division II.

Back on Apr. 2, Sileo made NCAA history, as she shattered the all-time career scoring mark. A four-goal, four-assist performance at Dowling raised her point total to 505, which broke former record-holder Ashley Hansbury's 500-point clip.

Sileo and the Pioneers are back in action on Saturday (May 10), when they host No. 4/4 New Haven in an NCAA Division II Championship quarterfinal at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y. The opening draw is scheduled for noon.
