GRAND LAKE, Colo. (Aug. 11, 2014) - On Monday, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team was named a 2014 Division II Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

The Pioneers were one of just 45 Division II institutions to receive the accolade from the IWLCA. Teams with a composite grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2014 season are recognized for their scholastic achievements. The green and gold finished the year with a 3.16 GPA.

The Pioneers completed another sterling season on the field to go hand-in-hand with their accomplishments in the classroom. LIU Post went 18-2 and appeared in the ECC Championship game, as well as the NCAA National Semifinals.

In total, the IWLCA bestowed 254 colleges and universities across all three divisions of women's lacrosse with the kudos of being named Academic Honor squads. For the complete list of schools, please click here.
