NORFOLK, Va. (Jan. 30, 2015) - The LIU Post women's swimming team remained fifth in the latest CSCAA Division II Top-25 Poll, as announced on Friday. The No. 5 ranking is the highest mark the Pioneers have received in program history.

Since owning a top-five grade in the previous ledger, the green and gold earned victories in duals against Siena (Jan. 17) and Wagner (Jan. 24). In a 158-126 triumph over Siena, LIU Post placed one-two in eight of the 16 events, while five individual swimmers raced to a combined 10 first-place finishes. On Senior Day at the Pratt Natatorium, the Pioneers swam to nine NCAA qualifying times, broke seven pool records and clinched 11 event wins, in a thrilling 141-121 victory versus Wagner.

Head Coach Maureen Travers and the green and gold return to the pool on Saturday (Jan. 31), when they travel to East Stroudsburg, Pa. for the East Stroudsburg Invitational.
