NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 14, 2015) - Freshman forward/midfielder
Molly Cunha (North Easton, Mass.) recorded the lone goal in the 61st minute Wednesday to lift the LIU Post field hockey team to a 1-0 win against Northeast-10 Conference opponent Southern Connecticut State University at Jess Dow Field.
The Pioneers (7-5, 3-4 NE-10), who have won three of their last four, dominated the Owls (4-9, 3-5 NE-10) in the contest, outshooting them by an overwhelming 23-1 count.
Late in the second half, LIU Post struck for the only tally of the game. Cunha, on a scramble in front, tucked a shot into the cage to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead with 9:12 remaining in regulation.

Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.) made one save for the Pioneers. The decision improved Parks' record to 4-4 on the season.
