CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 14, 2015) - LIU Post sophomore Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) has been tabbed as the East Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Co-Runner of the Week, the league released Tuesday.

Williams, who shared the recognition with St. Thomas Aquinas College's Kristen Borriello, finished 15th at last Friday's Metropolitan Championships. She clocked a 19:39.9, which ranks as the seventh-fastest time in program history for a 5k at Van Cortlandt Park.

Williams was also the first non-Division I runner to place at the meet. She averaged a 6:19.4 mile and posted splits of 1:34.7.

Williams and the Pioneers return to action Saturday (Oct. 17), when they compete at the University at Albany Invitational at 11 a.m.
