BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 27, 2015) - The LIU Post softball team has set its 2016 Pitching and Hitting Clinic for Sunday, Jan. 24 at the Pratt Recreation Center.
The clinic will feature two sessions for different age groups from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are listed below:
Session I - 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.Pitching - Ages 10-13
Hitting - Ages 14-18
Session II - 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.Pitching - Ages 14-18
Hitting - Ages 10-13
The pitching clinic will allow up to 20 pitchers per session, and the hitting clinic up to 40 players per session. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cost for the entire clinic is $120, while the price for either the pitching or hitting clinic is $70. Cash or checks are accepted.
In his 17 seasons at the helm of the Pioneers, Head Coach
Jamie Apicella has posted a record of 673-265-1, translating to a .717 winning percentage. His teams have captured eight East Coast Conference Championships and reached the NCAA Division II Tournament in 16 of the last 17 seasons. Additionally, LIU Post, under Apicella's watch, has won four East Region titles, reaching the College World Series in each of those years.
