Women's Swimming Falls at Fordham, 164-106

BRONX, N.Y. (Nov. 13, 2015) - Senior
Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) clocked a pair of NCAA "B" cuts Friday, but the LIU Post women's swimming team lost 164-106 to Division I program Fordham University at the Messmore Aquatic Center.
The loss drops the Pioneers to 1-3 on the season. As for the Rams, they improved to 4-2 overall.
Kwok posted provisional qualifying times for the NCAA Division II Championships in the 100- (56.81) and 200-yard butterfly (2:04.66), and won both events in the process.
Senior
Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Clumbia, Canada) swam to a first-place showing (58.66) in the 100-yard backstroke and added a second-place 53.98 in the 100-free.
Freshman
Karis Fuller (London, England) recorded a top mark of 2:13.05 in the 200 IM, while placing second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.66) and 200-yard backstroke (2:09.33).
Fellow freshman
Eline Swensen (Langhus, Norway) clocked a 10:50.38 in the 1,000-free, which was good for a first-place finish. She was also third (5:24.76) in the 500-free.
Sophomore
Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany) placed third in the 50- (25.35) and 100-yard freestyle (54.63), and came in fourth (59.47) in the 100-fly.
Lastly, the team of Brazier, Kwok, Bendfeldt and senior
Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom) raced to a second-place time of 1:38.90 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Head Coach
Michael Travers and his LIU Post squad are back in action next weekend (Nov. 20-22), when they swim at the Rutgers University Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.
