CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Mar. 9, 2015) - LIU Post senior midfielder Jenna Pierro (Holbrook, N.Y.) has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Helping the Pioneers to a 1-1 showing last week against Mercy and No. 7 Le Moyne, Pierro amassed nine points on seven goals and two assists. She collected a game-high seven of those points (5 G, 2 A), while scooping up four draws and two ground balls, in a 13-2 win over the Mavericks (Mar. 4). Pierro tacked on two more goals to her credit in a 9-6 loss to the Dolphins (Mar. 7).

Thus far, in 2015, Pierro ranks in the Top-5 in the ECC in goals (10), assists (5) and points (15). She is also seventh in shots (18) and draw controls (9), and ninth in free-position goals (2).

Pierro and the Pioneers return to action Thursday (Mar. 12), when they square off with Bentley in non-conference action at Walt Disney World's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The opening draw is slated for 7 p.m.
