Box Score EASTON, Mass. (Apr. 25, 2015) - On Saturday, the No. 9/10 LIU Post women's lacrosse team closed out the road portion of its 2015 schedule with an 8-7 loss to No. 7/7 Stonehill in non-conference action at W.B. Mason Stadium.
Tied 1-1 with under eight minutes to go in the first half, the Pioneers (12-4) got two goals in a span of 1:43 to take a 3-1 lead at the 6:14 mark. Red-shirt sophomore attacker
Emily Delaney (Long Valley, N.J.) notched the go-ahead goal, while sophomore defender/midfielder
Cara Douglas (West Islip, N.Y.) followed with an unassisted tally.

The green and gold came out of the gate strong in the second half, netting back-to-back goals to go up 5-3 with 21:10 remaining. This time, senior midfielder
Jenna Pierro (Holbrook, N.Y.) put the Pioneers in front, off a feed from junior defender/midfielder
Honey Roche (Centerport, N.Y.). Douglas then scored her second marker of the contest to stake her team to a two-goal cushion.
Later in the session, the visitors still led by a pair of goals (6-4), until the Skyhawks' Lizzie Lane (Sandwich, Mass.) and Caitlin Sweeney (Hollis, N.H.) found the back of the cage only 1:11 apart to tie things up at 6-all.
