FLUSHING, N.Y. (May 2, 2015) - The LIU Post softball team concluded conference action with a 2-0 loss to Queens in the 2015 East Coast Conference Championship.

Game Six of the ECC Championship Tournament saw a stalemate at zero through the top of the fourth, until a Queens (35-14) homerun to right gave the Knights an advantage. In the top of the fifth, the green and gold (30-15-1) had an opportunity to tie the contest at one off a Maria Palmeri (Middle Village, N.Y.) single, but a play at the plate held the Queens lead. In the latter half of the sixth, Queens tacked on a score with an RBI single to left center to clinch the 2-0 victory and the 2015 East Coast Conference Championship title. 

Sophomore hurler Ashley Martin (Long Beach, N.Y.) struck out two and walked just two in a seven-inning showing on the mound.
