MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 9, 2015) - On Saturday, the sixth-seeded LIU Post softball team defeated second-seeded Southern New Hampshire in the second round of the NCAA East II Sub-Regional, 1-0, and secured a slot in the finals. With the win, the Pioneers are set to face the victor of the elimination bracket, Southern New Hampshire, as they edged St. Anselm, 2-1, in Game Five to move on.

Kayla McCoy (Smithtown, N.Y.) solo dinger to left in the bottom of the second gave LIU Post a one-run advantage that the Penmen (32-7) could not eclipse through the remainder of the contest. Sophomore hurler
Ashley Martin (Long Beach, N.Y.) pitched a one-hitter, collecting two strikeouts and allowing just three walks through seven innings.
