CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Sept. 15, 2015) - The East Coast Conference gave out its weekly cross country awards Monday, and LIU Post sophomore Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) received the nod from the league as its runner of the week.

On Saturday, Williams placed second out of 126 competitors at the Fordham University Fiasco, clocking a 19:20.70. Her time now ranks third in program history for a 5k at Van Cortlandt Park and eighth for a 5k at any course.

Williams and the Pioneers return to action Saturday (Sept. 19), when they host their annual LIU Post Invitational in Brookville. The meet is slated to begin with the women's race at 10 a.m.
