Women's Golf Places Seventh at Mount Holyoke Invitational
Final Results
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Sept. 28, 2015) - Last weekend, the LIU Post women's golf team came in seventh out of 14 programs at the Mount Holyoke College Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club.
Senior
Hannah Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.) paved the way for the green and gold. She opened the tournament with an 81 and shot a 79 in the second round for a 10th-place overall finish.
Her second round included a birdie on the 10th hole and a 37 on the back nine, as she became the first player in the team's brief two-year history to break 80.
Freshman
Abby Snidemiller (Apex, N.C.) continued her solid play, opening with an 81 and carding an 84 in her second round. She finished 21st overall.
Junior
Shelby Townsend (Panora, Iowa) shot an 85 and a 94 in her two rounds, while freshman
Natalia Schaefer (St. James, N.Y.) recorded a 95 and 86. Schaefer's second-round 86, included a 40 on the back nine.
Freshman
Alanna Jones (Syracuse, N.Y.) carded a 99-101 and graduate
Nokkie Koonvisal (Bangkok, Thailand) had a 99-108.

Tom Kane and the Pioneers return to the links on Sunday (Oct. 4), when they begin play at the Kutztown University Fall Invitational in Fleetwood, Pa.
