GRAND LAKE, Colo. (Feb. 29, 2016) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team will open up the regular season this week as the No. 5 squad in the nation, according to Monday's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Poll.
The Pioneers, who amassed 315 points in the IWLCA tally, also stood pat in ninth in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Top-15 ledger.
Adelphi University continued to hold down the top spot in both polls. Le Moyne College, Lindenwood University and University of New Haven individually remained second, third and fourth in the rankings.

Meghan McNamara and her LIU Post squad kick off the 2016 campaign Tuesday (Mar. 1), when they host Nyack College in a non-conference tilt at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at 3 p.m. in Brookville, N.Y.
