Women's Lacrosse Stands Pat in IWLCA, Lacrosse Magazine Polls

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 21, 2016) - The LIU Post women's lacrosse team has individually remained at No. 4 and 5 in Monday's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division II polls.

The Pioneers are coming off a pair of road victories last week, extending their winning streak to four games. LIU Post won both contests by double digits, defeating Philadelphia University, 17-5, and Roberts Wesleyan College, 18-4.

Senior attacker Emily Delaney (Long Valley, N.J.) went off for 17 points (7 G, 10 A) in the two games, including a career-high-tying nine-point day at Roberts Wesleyan. Junior attacker Stefani Vagelatos (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) notched seven goals and added three assists for a 10-point week.

Sophomore goalie Olivia Kirk (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was solid once again in the cage for the green and gold. She posted a stellar 4.32 goals-against average and .556 save percentage in the two starts.

Head Coach Meghan McNamara and the Pioneers are back at it on Wednesday (Mar. 23), when they host East Coast Conference rival Molloy College at 3:30 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
