Women's Lacrosse Adds Kaiser, Kupres to 2017 Coaching Staff

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 2, 2016) - On Tuesday, LIU Post Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Meghan McNamara announced that Todd Kaiser and Amber Kupres will join the program as assistant coaches in 2017.

"I am excited about the additions of Todd and Amber to our coaching staff in 2017," stated McNamara. "Collectively, the three of us have the same vision of where we want this team to go."

Before coming to the Pioneers, Kaiser spent three seasons as the head coach at fellow East Coast Conference institution Queens College. He also served as an assistant at Adelphi University, where he helped in guiding the Panthers to a Northeast-10 Conference title and NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2012 and 2013.

Kaiser played four years of lacrosse at Quinnipiac University. In his time there, he earned All-New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association honors and was a two-time Scholar-Athlete selection.

Meanwhile, Kupres was a four-year starting midfielder at Stony Brook University from 2012-15. Over a Seawolves' record span of 79 games, she totaled a career 116 goals and 13 assists for 129 points. Additionally, Kupres picked up 119 ground balls and 74 draw controls and caused 62 turnovers in her tenure at Stony Brook.

Kupres, who was twice selected as a team captain with the Seawolves, received America East All-Tournament Team recognition in three of her four seasons and was named to the AE All-Rookie Team in 2012.

"Todd has a wealth of knowledge from his head coaching days at Queens, and Amber brings a great deal of energy and intensity from Stony Brook," McNamara said. "This staff will work really well together."
