Brookville, NY| Junior outside hitter Rachel Londot of the LIU Post women's volleyball team was named to the Academic All-District First-Team on Thursday, November 16 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Londot represents one of the three ECC student-athletes named to the all-district team from district one, which encompasses the Central Atlantic, East Coast and Northeast 10 conferences.

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in December.

A forensic science & criminal justice major, Londot, who is a four-time ECC Player of the Week selection, is ranked third in the conference in kills (371) and first on the team in hitting percentage (.306).

The LIU Post women's volleyball team, who is ranked no. 1 in the region will travel to Rockville Centre, NY to take on the NYIT Bears in the semifinal round of the ECC Championship. The game will take place on the campus of Molloy College on Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Follow the team throughout the ECC Championship here.
