Aary Bibens contributed with nine points as the LIU Post men's basketball team suffered a 77-48 defeat at the hands of No. 23 Big East power house Seton Hall in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at Walsh Gymnasium.
The Pirates outrebounded the Pioneers 53-28 which created 16 second chance points for Seton Hall compared to LIU Post's three.
Turning Point
Down by nine (17-8) in the 12th minute of first half, the Pirates put themselves in a comfortable position with a 10-0 run that began with Desi Rodriguez making a layup and then creating a steal on defense that led to a fastbreak dunk to take a 23-10 lead over LIU Post. It was the first of four Pioneers turnovers during the run that stretched to the 3:06 mark. The Pioneers went into halftime with a 40-18 deficit and were down by as many as 32 points in the second half.
