WATERBURY, Conn. - Senior Harry Pearse 's (Berkshire, London) goal and assist helped the No. 9 Pioneers outscore Post University, 3-2, at LaMoy Field on Saturday. 

The Eagles notched a tally 30 minutes into the contest to take the lead, but LIU Post quickly answered with a Lukas Ostermann (Saterland, Germany) goal just two minutes later to even the score. 

At 44:54, Pearse connected with junior Charlie Ledula (London, England) to put the Pioneers ahead for good. Pearse found the back of the net himself with under 30 minutes left to play, to give the Pioneers a 3-1 lead. Post University extended their advantage at 88:49, but the Pioneers held on for a 3-2 win. 

The Pioneers return to the pitch on Tuesday, Sept. 19 in Brookville, N.Y. versus Molloy. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
