ROCHESTER, N.Y. - A perfect 9-for-9 performance from the field by sophomore forward Mikaiya Moore helped the LIU Post women's basketball team continue to roll with an 88-80 victory at East Coast Conference-rival Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon in the Voller Athletic Center.

The Pioneers (12-5, 7-0 ECC) held nearly a 20 point advantage at the end of the first half, outscoring the Redhawks (11-6, 5-2 ECC) 43-24, including a 28-10 second quarter.

After the two sides played closely contested for the first quarter and a half, the visitors pulled ahead by 19 thanks to closing out the first half on a 20-3 run. During this span, five different Pioneers scored including a layup by junior guard Shannon Doyle as time expired.

Moore filled the stat line in the opening half with 10 points, three assists, two steals, one block, and an offensive rebound.

Although the home squad outscored the Pioneers in the second half, LIU Post was able to hold onto its lead by being perfect from the charity stripe in its last eight attempts during the final minute of action.

Moore was one of four Pioneers to finish with a double-digit point total as Kristen Olsen (17), Sasha Patterson (14), and Robyn Francis (10) each chipped in. Moore also led with four assists, and Taylah Hudson swiped a game-high five steals.

LIU Post outshot RWC from the field at a 49.2-45.6% clip.  The two squads each tallied 34 points in the paint and were nearly even in points off turnovers and second-chance points, but the green and gold's bench made a major impact outscoring the Redhawks' bench by 33-18.

The Pioneers return home on Wednesday (Jan. 17) when they host the University of the District of Columbia for Coaches vs. Cancer.  Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. int he Pratt Recreation Center.
