NYACK, N.Y. – A dominant 34 point, 11 rebound performance by sophomore
Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor could not push the LIU Post men's basketball team past Nyack College Saturday afternoon as the Pioneers fell 83-64 inside Bowman Gymnasium.
The Pioneers 64 points was a season-high and LIU Post won the turnover battle as it only committed 11 to 18 by the Warriors.
Ortiz-Traylor, the reigning ECC Defensive Player of the Week, had his second double-double of the season as he led the game in scoring with a career-high 34 points on 12-for-21 shooting and 8-of-11 from the free throw line while also adding a game and season-high 11 rebounds. He has now scored 20 or more points in three of the Pioneers four games this season and led the game in blocks and had a career-high with three.
Freshmen
Kendell Ogilvie and
Seth Goumba added 10 points each while redshirt-senior
Neil Feminella had five.
