NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The top-ranked Merrimack College Warriors pulled away in the second half as the No. 12 LIU Post men's lacrosse team came up short on the road, 15-4 March 10.

Merrimack tallied the first two goals of the contest, but LIU Post got on the board at the 11:09 mark of the opening quarter when Guerrina netted an unassisted goal. Merrimack responded a minute later to make it 3-1, but the Pioneers scored with 14 seconds remaining in the period to make it 3-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Green and Gold tied the score just under four minutes into the second stanza, but after both teams traded goals, Merrimack scored 11 unanswered tallies to close out the contest for the 15-4 final.
The Pioneers will look to bounce back when they wrap up a three-game road trip against nationally ranked opponents on Wednesday, March 14 when they travel to New Hampshire to battle No. 18 Saint Anselm College at 4:00 p.m.
