BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Following a narrow victory against No. 6/7 University of New Haven at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla., the LIU Post women's lacrosse team improved to No. 7/11 in the national polls this week.
 
The Pioneers moved up one spot in each national poll as they improved to 4-2 on the season, bouncing back from two losses to nationally ranked Pace University and Le Moyne College. Sophomores Alyssa Mallery and Brianna Feldman had outstanding days on the offensive end, notching new career-highs in goals with six and five tallies, respectively. The team now ranks No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll and No. 11 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine rankings.
 
LIU Post was scheduled to continue East Coast Conference play on Wednesday, March 21 against Molloy College, but the contest was postponed until Thursday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m. due to yet another Nor'easter scheduled to strike the New York metropolitan area tomorrow. The matchup with Molloy begins a five-game home stand over the next three weeks for the Green and Gold.
