Brisotti Named to Inaugural All-HEADstrong Foundation Team

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – LIU Post women's lacrosse junior midfielder Trish Brisotti was recognized by the HEADstrong Foundation for her efforts to support the organization as the group named her to the inaugural All-HEADstrong Team.

Brisotti was the lone Division II player recognized by the organization for the 2018 women's squad, with all 11 other student-athletes coming from Division I schools.

HEADstrong is a non-profit organization that is committed to improving lives affected by cancer. The foundation was created by Nicholas Colleluori to serve as a direct resource to families overcome by the hardships of cancer. The organization assists families by providing services ranging from financial assistance, capital projects to fund peer mentorship programs, and Nick's House, a guest family home that provides over 2,500 nights of complimentary lodging and support for families displaced during cancer treatment.

The All-HEADstrong team was created to acknowledge achievements in student philanthropy during the year. Members of the team are selected for their outstanding commitment, stewardship and exemplary efforts in supporting and advancing the mission of the HEADstrong Foundation through various philanthropic and fundraising endeavors according to the organization's website.

As a team, the Pioneers helped raise over $2,600 for the foundation this season. Brisotti went above and beyond, collecting over $300 for the organization, helping to earn the recognition from HEADstrong.
