2018 MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – First-year head coach
Michael Mordocco announced the 2018 men's soccer slate Monday, a schedule that features nine home contests at the Pioneer Soccer Park this fall.
The Pioneers will look to return to the national stage following an 18-1-2 overall record a year ago, including a trip to the NCAA Division II quarterfinals. The quest to return to the NCAA Tournament begins at the Adelphi Alumni Invitational before the Pioneers step back on the home grass for matchups against East Stroudsburg University on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 1:00 p.m. and the East Coast Conference opener against the University of Bridgeport on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2:30 p.m.
ECC play continues over the next three contests, beginning with a road test at Molloy College on Saturday, Sept. 22. After traveling west to Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday, Sept. 29, LIU Post hosts Post University and ECC rival University of District of Columbia for a pair of contests on Wednesday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 6. The penultimate non-conference tilt is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Wilmington University before traveling to Mercy College on Saturday, Oct. 13. The Pioneers will look to build postseason momentum with three straight home contests against Saint Thomas Aquinas College, Daemen College, and Jefferson University before closing out the regular season at nearby New York Institute of Technology on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Looking to defend its 2017 ECC title, LIU Post opens postseason play with the semifinal round of the ECC Tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 31, with the championship scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3. The NCAA will announce the national championship field on Monday, Nov. 5.
