Karis Fuller started 2019 off on a high note Friday after placing first in the 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke in the LIU Post women's swimming team's first meet of the 2019 when it hosted New York University inside the Pratt Natatorium.

Caitlin Johnstone opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay after posting a time of 1:49.66 seconds.

Top Individual Performers
Fuller earned a pair of first-place finishes after touching the wall at 56.40 in the 100 backstroke and 1:09.70 seconds in the 100 breaststroke. Her time in the 100 backstroke was an NCAA 'B' cut.
Sophomore
Emily Shoup clocked in at 1:58.60 seconds to finish second in the 200 freestyle while Law captured two third-place finishes after posting times of 25.49 in the 50 freestyle and 1:01.15 seconds in the 100 butterfly.
Sparrman also finished third in the two events; the 200 IM and 100 freestyle with times of 2:15.32 seconds and 55.57.
