IWLCA POLL
NIKE/US LACROSSE POLL
 
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post women's lacrosse team maintained its top-eight rankings in both national polls Monday as it stayed at No. 6 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) poll and was tabbed at No. 8 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll.
 
Last week the Pioneers went 1-1, first defeating No. 14/17 Pace University 11-9 on Wednesday, March 6 and then suffering their first setback of the season on Saturday, March 11 against No. 1/1 Le Moyne College, 16-7.
 
Junior Alyssa Mallery combined for eight goals on the week to lead the Pioneers and also added a team-high 16 draw controls. Junior Angela Deren led the team in assists with six and three Pioneers tied foe the team-high in ground balls with five; redshirt-senior Carly Spano, junior Sara Stephens and Mallery. Junior Paige Sherlock and freshman Whitney Moran led LIU Post in caused turnovers with three while freshman goalkeeper Hailey Duchnowski finished the week with 29 saves.
