CLEVELAND, Ohio – The East Coast Conference announced women's basketball graduate student Sasha Patterson as the league's Player of the Year last week and Patterson added to her postseason resume this week when the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association named her to the All-East Region Team.
 
Patterson earns second-team recognition for the second-consecutive season. Her front course presence dominated opposing teams all season as Patterson appeared in all 31 games, making 30 starts for LIU Post. For the second straight year, Patterson averaged a double-double with 15.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. The most dominating aspect of her game came on the offensive glass where Patterson collected 152 offensive rebounds to lead Division II.
 
Earlier in the year, Patterson hauled in her 1,000th collegiate rebound and also netted her 1,000th point at LIU Post. Her 10 rebounds per game led the ECC this season, while her 15.5 points ranked tied for third.
