2007-08: One-time ECC Rookie of the Week…averaged 5.5 points per game…scored in double figures three times, including a season-high 23 point effort against Post (Nov. 20)…dished out 80 assists on the season, pulled down 79 rebounds and grabbed 38 steals…shot .444 from three point range, and made a career high 5-of-6 shots from behind the arc against Post (Nov. 20)…shot .492 from the floor.
Prior to C.W. Post: Played three years of varsity at St. Mary’s under current Pioneer head coach Tim Cluess…helped the Gaels to three Long Island championships, including the number one high school team in the country during his junior season…garnered first-team All-Long Island notice in his senior season…named to the second team during his junior season.
Personal: Son of Jenny Irizarry…has three siblings…majoring in criminal justice.
