2008: Started all 11 games … was third on the team in tackles (37s, 41a) … registered a season-high 11 tackles against Bloomsburg (Sept. 27) and later matched it against Millersville (Oct. 18) … made 7.5 tackles for loss and tipped away a pass while adding a forced fumble.
2007: Started all 10 games in his sophomore campaign … registered 35 solo tackles on the season, including seven for a loss (Sept. 29) … recorded 1.5 sacks against Saint Anselm … tallied his first collegiate interception in final regular-season game against Merrimack (Nov. 10).
2006: Played in all 10 games as a true freshman…made 18 hits on the year, including a career-best six stops (two solo) against American International (Oct. 28) – including his only tackle for a loss on the year … tallied five tackles and first-career forced fumble against Bentley (Oct. 14) … blocked a kick at Bryant (Oct. 7).
Before C.W. Post: Played four years of varsity at East Meadow and helped lead the Jets to the Big 4 championship in 2003, 2004 and 2005 … named all-county.
Personal: Is the oldest of William and Kathy Bright’s three children … his favorite athlete is Brian Urlacher and he admires his father outside of sports … plans for a career in law enforcement … majoring in criminal justice.
